2024 GASGAS BEACH PARTY: TEAM INTRO, NEW CONTRACT & NEW BIKE

     In a twist on the traditional new bike unveiling, GasGas threw a beach party at the Sahara Sand Box in Huntington Beach. It was a fun day as GasGas killed three birds with one stone. They GasGas used the opportunity to showcase their latest new model, the 2024 GasGas Moto 1 electric beach/urban cruiser, announce that GasGas has renewed its team partnership with Troy Lee Designs for three more years and announced their 2024 Supercross/Motocross team line-up with Justin Barcia, Pierce Brown and new signee Ryder DiFrancesco.

(1) The GasGas/Troy Lee Designs/Red Bull factory team’s contract was renewed with for three more years. Team owner Troy Lee (above) took the opportunity to try out the new 2024 GasGas Moto 1.

(2) The 2024 Supercross/Motocross team line-up was announced with two returning riders (Justin Barcia and Pierce Brown) along with new signee Ryder DiFrancesco.

(3) The primary focus of the beach party was for GasGas to use the opportunity to showcase their latest new model, the 2024 GasGas Moto 1 electric beach/urban/pit cruiser. It has a rear hub motor, battery under the seat and a rear derailleur to offer more than a single speed.

Justin Barcia had a fun day cruising up and down Huntington Beach.

The Moto 1 features a contemporary supermoto aesthetics with a durable (and very red) steel frame that is “one-size fits-all,” thanks to its extra-long bench seat. 20-inch wheels and powerful Bafang rear hub H550 motor. It is classified as a Class 2 pedal-assisted bike capable of up to 20 mph from its 500W of a peak power output. For thrill seekers GasGas offers the GasGas Moto 2 with a 750W motor.

You don’t need a beach to enjoy the GasGas Moto 1 it makes a great urban cruiser, grocery getter, play bike or pit bike.

Both the Moto 1 and Moto 2 are equipped removable batteries for ease of charging. The Moto 1 comes with a 504 Wh battery, while the higher-powered Moto 2 features a 672 Wh battery. A compact, handlebar mounted display unit, with Bluetooth allows further tuning and customization possibilities.
