TROY LEE TO RECEIVE THE 2023 EDISON DYE LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD

Dubya USA and Glen Helen Raceway are proud and excited to announce that the 2023 recipient of the Edison Dye Lifetime Achievement Award will be iconic motocross racer, artist and product innovator Troy Lee. Known for his ground-breaking work as a racer, artist, Team owner and innovator. Troy revolutionized helmet painting, visor design and protective gear during his 45-year career. His talent has made him the go-to guy for NASCAR, Indy Car, MotoGP, Formula 1 and AMA motocross racers.

Troy’s journey began as a teenage motocross racer in SoCal, riding for Mitch Payton’s Pro Circuit Husqvarna team. With encouragement from MXA’s Jody Weisel, Troy turned his passion for painting into Troy Lee Designs. Troy’s brand not only paints helmets, but supplies motocross and mountain bike gear for the masses.

As the 30th recipient of the Edison Dye Award, the ceremony will take place at the 2023 World Vet Motocross Championship on Saturday, November 4, 2023, at 7:00 p.m. in the Glen Helen Museum, where he will join a prestigious group of motocross legends to claim his spot on the Glen Helen Walk of Fame.
