MXA VIDEO: WE TEST THE 2022 YAMAHA YZ250 TWO-STROKE

The 2022 Yamaha YZ250 two-stroke is one of the most highly anticipated bikes of the new model season and we’re glad to finally share our Tested video on the new model here. Although the YZ250 didn’t receive as many updates as the 2022 YZ125, it did gain updated suspension settings, a new subframe and seat with a flatter overall position for the seat which raised the middle of the seat up 6-millimeters and lowered the front of it down 5-millimeters. The new fuel tank and shrouds are slimmer, plus there is more ventilation to increase air flow going into the airbox. Additionally, it has updated brakes, a new lightweight chain and new lightweight rear sprocket. As for the rest of the YZ250, the frame, engine and suspension components are the same for 2022, allowing this bike to feel very similar to the YZ250 in years past.
