MXA TIME MACHINE VIDEO: WHAT GLEN HELEN LOOKED LIKE 50 YEARS AGO

Before there was a Glen Helen Raceway, there was Arroyo Cycle Park. Historically the two race tracks are joined at the hip, but, more significantly, the old Arroyo Cycle Park was located where today’s Glen Helen Raceway is today. In fact, Glen Helen’s “Saturday at  the Glen” track (previously called the REM track) sits on the same exact land as Arroyo. Not close to it, not next to it, but  on it.

And a handful of old riders can tell you exactly where the Arroyo starting line was and how the modern Glen Helen track shares only a small part of the original footprint.
