250 OVERALL QUALIFYING RESULTS // 2023 BUDD’S CREEK NATIONAL
On to the Budd’s Creek National. The 250 Class has been shaken up from bike failures to unfinished moto’s and is now coming down to the year’s final races. Only two rounds left, Factory HRC Honda’s Hunter Lawrence has a 22-point lead over Star Racing Yamaha’s Justin Cooper coming into the final rounds. After a few tough rounds at the start of the season, Hunter Lawrence has bounced back and gained control of the points lead. Will Hunter be able to open his lead up more this weekend, or will the drama of the 250 class continue to unfold?
2023 BUDD’S CREEK NATIONAL // FULL COVERAGE
Tom Vialle, who has a win this year, is having a great season despite never riding these tracks
Budd’s Creek is one of the more historical rounds of the year, located just outside the nation’s capital. Deep rough, and rutted, this track puts the skills of the rider to the test and is a track that can shake up the points battle. Coming into the event, Hunter Lawrence leads but is only within a moto of Justin Cooper and not much further about the other top five. Mistakes have to be minimized, and riders have to bring their full potential, as every point counts in this position of the Championship.
250 Group A Qualifying One Times
Max is on top! Maximus Vohland was fastest in the first qualifying session, followed by his teammate Tom Vialle. Were starting to see some more life out of the KTM tent toward the end of the season, and either rider could get a win today.
250 Group A Qualifying Two Times
Looking fast, Haiden Deegan put down the first 1:59 of the session but was edged out by teammate Justin Cooper around the two minutes left. Justin Cooper would edge out Deegan by fractions of a second at the end of the session and top the qualifying times.
